During Covid, I worked as a volunteer with civil defense Hawkesbay I was instrumental in setting up an ethnically appropriate food bank - where we made up individual food parcels for about 700 families. Not only did I make up the food parcels but also triaging as well - to check if they were other needs like medication, help with visas, etc.
