March Wrap Up 2025

March 2025
I love this time of the year – the temperatures are still high and the
season is gradually changing. Aside from a serious lack of water in many areas of the country, there is so much to celebrate as our year marches on.
Raw Expedition Opened
One year later and RAW Beauty – a result of years of work completing my photographic masters at Wintec – is open. Located at our head office building, it is hugely exciting to see the efforts of this privileged collaboration in situ.
For those of you who are unable to view it in person due to your location, we have now placed the exhibition online – where you can not only see the images, but also hear the girls talking through the image-making process.
Camille
So many of you have asked about my relationship with Camille – our local breakfast host on The Breeze radio station. You’ve loved her craziness in the recent social promotions on Facebook!
Given the number of questions around this, I’ve written a short blog in explanation.
Local Fundraisers
Also a priority of mine – assisting local initiatives to achieve their community goals. This month, Sami and I were involved in two meaningful projects where we met a diversity of lovely ladies.
Abbeyfield in Katikati
A a project to raise the final piece of funding to build a communal home. Abbeyfield is a not-for-profit housing model for older folk – a bit like flatting. A housekeeper cooks two hot meals a day, and breakfast is ‘help yourself’. The housekeeper is the only paid staff member.
It’s aimed at those with limited means and provides affordable, respectful, community living for independent older people with modest or no assets – in a supportive, safe, thriving, and caring environment. A tried and tested model.
Hospice
Sami and I flew to Invercargill late in the month to support Suzanne Prentice with her fundraising efforts for Hospice at her event titled “For the Love of You.” I am loving all the local energy and the absolute passion to support community from so many capable women NZ-wide.
Local Speaking
Missy and I also spoke for Probus in Morrinsville – Missy did an excellent job talking to the RAW model and sharing her story and recent progress. I am so proud of Missy and the journey she’s on.
Golf Collection
The Golf Collection has now been photographed at our Morrinsville golf course (cows included, of course!) and is getting so close to opening for pre-orders. Really looking forward to seeing how this goes…
River's Birthday
Baby River turns 2 on March 29 – and what a huge day we all had on Saturday! Bouncy castle, all the cousins, and another stunning Waikato day to celebrate our adorable baby boy.
Grandees
Another huge month of connection with all four grandees – the delightful, adorable chaos that is Lily, Violet, River, and Ted.
Wishing you all a delightfully
joyous Easter, and lots of guilt
free chocolate moments.
